Toilets: You can find restrooms in restaurants, gas stations and cafes. Bring your own toilet paper, just in case. Sewer systems in Costa Rica were not built to handle paper. Next to the toilet you will find a waste basket. Use it.

Tipping: Restaurants add a 10% gratuity to your bill automatically so there is no need to add a tip. However, if you recieve exceptional service - reward it freely!

Exiting fees: $26 US dollars is a required fee to exit Costa Rica by airplane. This fee is waived if you leave by boat, ship, car, motorcycle or bus.
