Q:
When is the best time to visit?

A:

Costa Rica boasts 12 climatic zones with a wide variety of temperatures and amount of rainfall. Generally, temperatures in the lowlands range from the low 70's to the high 80's with it cooler at elevation. Due to its proximity to the equator, temperatures remain relatively constant.

December through May is the dry season everywhere except the Carribean Coast which is drier from January to March with no real "dry season".

June, July and early August is the green season. Native Costa Ricans call it "little summer".

September through November is the wet season.

All times are spectacular so don't let a little rain scare you off! Most tourists visit between late December and early August.
